Renovated in 2016/2017, the hotel awaits its guests in the Lower Franconian district of Aschaffenburg

on the edge of the Bavarian Spessart Nature Park.

Built as a hunting lodge, the castle presents itself today as an event location and conference facility. 40 rooms, various premises as well as a restaurant are offered. The spacious SPA area offers you an original Turkish Hamam, Rasul, saunas, indoor pool as well as an outdoor terrace in the park and much more.

History

Around 1265, the archbishop of Mainz, Werner von Eppstein, had the Castrum Vivarium built here, which includes a stone tower with farm buildings, an animal garden, a kitchen garden and a fish pond.
